Get Involved
Now here is where you come in with a very important job. In order to achieve our goals, we need to put pressure on the perpetrators. One big way to do that is by directly contacting them. Below are prewritten statements that you can email or call and say for each of the perpetrators, or you can come up with your own words. If you are a Cortland or Cornell student, faculty member, or alumni (or are connected with the schools in any way) please state as such. What's important is that the core message is out. By continuing to put pressure on them, we increase the likelihood that they cave to our demands.
You can also send them easily through The Action Network pages.

Dear Dr. McFadden, I was shocked to learn that your team at Cornell as well as Cortland students are performing these experiments on sheep and that you have a conflict of interest due to your financial ties with the dairy industry. I support the SUNY Cortland Animal Rights Activism Club's demand that you shut down your ceramide study on sheep. It is cruel, exploitative, and completely unnecessary. If you truly care about the environment as well as food security and efficiency, plant-based avenues are far more ethical, sustainable, and efficient.

Dear Dr. Davis,
I was shocked to learn that your team at Cornell as well as Cortland students are performing these experiments on sheep and that you have a conflict of interest due to your lead investigator's financial ties with the dairy industry.

Dear Dr. Dickson,
I support the SUNY Cortland Animal Rights Activism Club's demand that you terminate the funding for the ceramide study on sheep (awards #2114726 and #2114725). It is cruel, exploitative, and completely unnecessary, and I oppose the use of my tax dollars for it. If you truly care about the environment as well as food security and efficiency, plant-based avenues are far more ethical, sustainable, and efficient.
